What is Organic A2/A2 Milk?

Once upon a time all food was organic and cows naturally produced only A2/A2 milk.  Somewhere along the way, through domestication, things changed and the majority of today’s cows produce milk with both A1 and A2 beta-casein proteins.

Ferndale Organic A2/A2 milk contains only the original A2 protein that was found in most cows thousands of years ago, giving a closer experience to what milk was naturally intended to be. All other mammals naturally produce milk with only the A2 protein, including humans, which means the A2/A2 milk offers a closer experience to drinking the milk that our digestive systems were intended to have. Today’s milk that contains the A1/A2 protein can be hard for many people to digest leading many to think it is due to lactose intolerance. The difference between the milk protein in A1/A2 milk is only one amino acid. This difference impacts how our bodies digest the milk and how many suffer from adverse health issues as a result.

We believe there is no substitute for real milk! Our milk provides a healthy, ORGANIC solution, just as nature intended.
